Back Home

I got in late Christmas Eve and surprised my family. . It was nice to see everyone but it felt as though I had been gone only a weekend. It's been a bit of a struggle adjusting back to reality, and I miss my friends and France sooo much. All I can do is think ahead though. I've set my goals and I know I will go back to Pau one day. There is still so much in Europe I need to see... So much all over the world I still need to see! I now it wont be long until I start my next adventure. Thanks to all of you that kept up with me.

Dec 23rd Paris

Today, Jenny, Aaron and I went to see the Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur. before we went up to the big ol sacre coeur cathedral thing, we went to get a quick lunch. We chose a little restaraunt at the foot of the hill. The waiter was really rude. And the food was mediocre. Whatever. We paid him in small coins when we left. KARMAAA.
We went up to the Cathedral and wandered around the markets, and then went inside the Sacre Coeur. It was big and beautiful, but no pictures allowed. We wandered around even more and found a square where a lot of artists were selling their works. After that, we got really cold so we decided to head back to the hostel to hang out for a little bit. Jenny had to take an overnight train later that night and we all just wanted to rest for a little bit. When it was time for Jenny to leave we all walked to the metro together and then when we had to part, it was definitely the hardest goodbye yet. It was depressing. When Jenny left, Aaron and I went down to the Eifel Tower where we got the delicious crepes. I had been so upset about Jenny leaving, that I forgot it was also my last day in Paris. It was a sad night. When we went back to the hostel I packedup my stuff and prepared to go home the next morning.

Bye Bye Eifel Tower :(

Dec 22nd Paris

Matt left early this morning. These goodbyes were starting to get harder and harder. Aaron went to meet Duke at the Louvre and Rehana, Jenny and I went to the Eifel Tower to do girl stuff like stare at food and eat chocolate. We hung out by the Christmas markets until Aaron and Duke came to meet up with us. They ate hot dogs, and we looked around the market some more, and we had to call it an early night because our dear Rehana had to leave that night. We said bye to Duke along the way...he was now staying somewhere else. Back at the hostel, Jenny and I played with a cat we found until Rehana had to leave. We were all sad. All of a sudden we were down to three.

These dorks payed actual money to walk in snow.

The following are a series of complicated hot dog decision making photos.

Until they finally decide.

Dec 21st: Paris

This morning, Jenny and I had to say goodbye to Erin. We took her to the airport and waited for her while she checked in and then walked her to security where we said our tearful goodbyes. Erin has been one of the best friends I have ever had. Im glad she isn't too far away from me in Fresno. Jenny and I left to go meet up with Aaron, Duke and Rehana at the hostel. Matt was also coming in from Pau later. We all went to Notre Dame and ate some really bomb kebabas stuffed with fries. After we went into Notre Dame, we went to Champs Elysees where they were having the biggest Cjristmas market EVER. We also went to the top of L'Arc de Triomphe. We did this the first time I was in Paris during the day, but the view of Paris is much more beautiful at night.
I also bought like 18 euros worth of candy. Sorry I dont have too many pictures from today. Forgot to charge my camera and it kept dying.
